San Pedro is a psychoactive species of cactus which comprises of about thirty species. They are mainly found in the Andes and grows up to twenty feet high. The traditional preparation of the cactus involves boiling slices of the stem for a number of hours and then after it has cooled drinking it (contains mescaline). San Pedro cactus has been a continuous tradition in Peru for over 3,000 years.

Now we have the knowledge and power to change the genetic structures of all life forms. However, by playing with these fragile threads of existence a lottery on life has started. Do we have the right to alter the genes of life forms to suit our desires not knowing what the consequences will be? The capsicum is a symbol of the organic world we are trying to control and the colour red is a warning to all those curious. The power of fragility is knowing how sensitive and strong life is.

The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us. An acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another.This piece is a spiral of growth. Branches rotate from the centre gathering more and more leaves before pulsating out into the clouds and spreading over the earth. The central spiral is an ammonite fossil which were abundant 175 million to 65 million years ago.
